Role: Visual Designer
Challenge
The challenge of this project was to design a logo that embodies a sense of aspiration while also referencing the concept of a writing instrument as a powerful and transformational tool.
The results of the client's journey, spanning over 20 years of trauma and healing work with communities, children, and families, led to the creation of Journal As Altar. The creator recognized that her most restorative form of self-care involved keeping various art journals, diaries, scrapbooks, notebooks, and planners as a meaningful, spirit-filled practice.
Results
The logo displaying lines of an open book or sun with a fountain pen, drops of ink, and a crescent became a visual representation of the Journal As Altar’s identity and values, making it easily identifiable to consumers.
